Refunds

When issuing a refund to a finance customer, ensure that the total of any full or partial refunds does not exceed the original finance transaction amount.

For transactions involving either a completed finance application and purchase or a repeat finance account purchase, you have the option to issue a full refund or multiple partial refunds. Partial refunds can be processed up to the total original transaction amount.

To start a refund, navigate to the Order Detail view for the specific order within the Dashboard. You can find the order by using the Orders view, either by filtering and browsing the list or by searching with the transaction reference number if available.

In the Order Detail view, if the transaction qualifies for a full or partial refund, an action button will appear in the top right corner of the order.

Select the ‘Refund order’ button and specify the amount you wish to refund to the customer, ensuring it does not exceed the total finance amount.

Any transactions with a refund will be updated with the appropriate status. The refunded amount will be included in the next settlement run, which will decrease your payout and be reflected in your settlement reports.
